Maximise Your Battery's Life: Tips for Charging Your Electric Motorcycle

The battery is the heart of your electric scooter. Good maintenance and charging habits can significantly extend its lifespan and ensure optimal performance. Follow these tips to take the best possible care of your battery.

1. Charge Regularly and Avoid Complete Discharges

Lithium-ion batteries, common in electric scooters, perform best when kept between 20% and 80% charge. Avoid letting the battery completely discharge and recharge it regularly, even if you’ve only used it for a short period.

2. Use the Original Charger

Every electric scooter comes with a charger specifically designed for its battery. Using non-original or low-quality chargers can damage the battery and void the warranty. Make sure the charger is in good condition.

3. Avoid Extreme Temperatures

Batteries are sensitive to extreme heat and cold. Charge your scooter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Do not leave it exposed to sub-zero temperatures for extended periods.

4. Disconnect After Full Charge

Once the battery is fully charged, it is advisable to disconnect the charger to avoid slight overcharging and prolong the battery's lifespan in the long run, although many modern systems have overcharge protection.
