Essential Safety Guide for Riding Your Electric Motorcycle
Electric scooters are fun and efficient, but safety should always be your top priority. Before you hit the road, make sure you follow these essential recommendations for a safe journey.
1. Gear Up Properly
An approved helmet is a must. Also consider using gloves, knee pads, and elbow pads, especially if you’re a beginner or riding in areas with traffic.
2. Get to Know Your Scooter
Before a long ride, practise in a safe, traffic-free area. Get used to the accelerator, brakes, and steering. Understand how your scooter responds at different speeds.
3. Respect Traffic Laws
Electric scooters are subject to local traffic regulations. Respect traffic lights, stop signs, speed limits, and give way when necessary. Ride in the permitted lanes (bike lanes, roadways).
4. Defensive Riding
Anticipate the movements of other vehicles and pedestrians. Maintain an adequate safety distance and signal your intentions in advance. Be visible, especially at night, by using lights and reflective clothing.
